Manuka Honey Gauze Dressing is a primary wound dressing for partial- and full-thickness wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, first- and second-degree burns, diabetic foot ulcers, minor abrasions, and lacerations. The only species of honey that has been shown in randomized controlled study to help wounds that have stalled under first-line treatment to progress towards healing.Derived from the Leptospermum scoparium species of plant in New Zealand, these unique dressings have properties which are beneficial throughout all phases of wound healing. Manuka honey calcium alginate dressing offers a full line of dressing solutions, providing versatility for varying wound conditions and wound management needs.

Instructions Remove from the outer packet, remove clear films and apply to the wound either side up. Apply a secondary dressing of choice, this can be an absorbent dressing or semi-permeable film dressing depending on the nature of the wound. It can also be used under Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) or a primary layer to reduce bacterial burden. Store at room temperature. Due to the nature of honey, it can solidify at cold temperatures become more liquid at warm temperatures. If the product has hardened,warm between hands to soften before use. If the product has become too liquid, place in a colder place such as a fridge for a few minutes.

It is a light non adherent, non sticky dressing ideal for infection prevention.
